June 2007

Poor Roslyn desperately seeks a new loving home after enduring tremendous physical and emotional neglect.

She was found by a dog warden, kept outside in the garden with no shelter. She had a skin problem and was desperately thin.

The 'owners' had apparently bought a Bichon Frise and did not want her anymore.

July 2007

Roslyn was collected and brought to Mutts in Distress.

She had very scaley skin caused by being kept outside in all weathers with no shelter.

The wind and rain had scalded her skin, causing sores over her head, legs and feet.

She was frightened and in pain.

The previous owners had claimed Roslyn had attended a vet and received treatment but her condition continued to deteriorate, so she was taken for skin scrapings and further investigation.

Roslyn came home with antibiotics, ear lotion to stop the itching and soreness and a special medicated shampoo to be used every 3 days.

Her skin was infected, her ear canals were swollen with infection and her sores were weeping.

She sat in the vets and let him do whatever he wanted. So brave and tolerant. On the way out, she made friends with a GSD male waiting to go in. She had her bottom up in the air and was yapping in his face like a puppy!! It was lovely to see that despite her obvious misery, she could still find time to be happy.

She has received love and care from the Mutts team and is steadily gaining trust and a new healthy coat.

August 2007

Roslyn now looks a million dollars.

The magic shampoo and the concoction of drugs from the vet have really worked a miracle.

She still moves her head in a slow shaking motion, but it's early days.

She is no longer tormented by the intense itching she used to have.

Everyone at Mutts is very happy with her progress.

September 2007

Roslyn had a day out to enjoy the Mutts in Distress Dog Show and really enjoyed herself.

Here she is being paraded round the show ring by Pat.

October 2007
Roslyn is now truly ready for a new start and a loving home.
November 2007

Here is Roslyn now, looking beautiful.

Look how her coat has developed. She really has come a long way.

Her face no longer looks tired and sore. She has such a pretty smile and a lovely attitude. All she needs now is a home for Christmas....
